Exciting news! It looks like Filipinos in the East Bay, part of Arcadia Publishing’s Images of America series, and compiled and co-edited by Evangeline Canonizado, Evelyn Luluquisen, Lillian Galedo, Eleanor Hipol Luis, of the Filipino American National Historical Society East Bay Chapter is in the process of being printed. It is scheduled to be released by the end of June.
This is quite cool, and I am so proud to be included in this volume, and considered part of our community’s history in this place, especially by these community leaders and Oaktown and Berkeley Pinay foremothers.
So there’s that, and that’s big Yay.
