Poetas en Nueva York

I am off to New York tomorrow evening for some pretty awesome events — readings and poetics talks. It’ll be a quick in and out. Right now, am doing laundry and packing. On the plane, I have to grade my students’ poetry book reviews, and read some poems and essays. It’s my last “lecture” of the semester, because of Thanksgiving. Three weeks from now, students will be presenting their the final assignments, which is to create their own syllabi for a course on a more specific or overlooked area of poetry by poets of color. Looking forward to these.

And I am looking forward to seeing folks, having cafe con leche or scotch or bourbon with folks, doing some serious Uniqlo shopping. Anyway, if you’re in NY, come by and say hi.
